Moments Collection

Velvet for drapes and furniture upholstery

The theme of the reflection of the natural elements in man has inspired and continues to inspire people. The Moments collection reveals the idea that, depending on the moment and the point at which a person is in, the influence of all four elements can be seen in them.

Different design focus

The orientation of the picture in all designs differs due to the special production technology of jacquard cut velvet, as the velvet is woven from two bases, threaded with pile threads, and then cut on the machine, resulting in two fabrics mirroring each other.

Heterogeneous base

The base of the velvet is deliberately heterogeneous, somewhere the pile is dense, somewhere it is thinned, somewhere it is completely absent and the base is visible. The difference we see is mesmerizing: the fabric looks much more textured and voluminous, you want to touch it. You can feel two different threads under your hand – one shimmery, the other matte. Their combination creates a discreet but very self-sufficient monochromatic fabric.

High wear resistance and tactility

The material is very malleable, it combines thoroughness and thoughtfulness with excellent drapeability and tactility, it has a pleasing heaviness and gives straight beautiful pleats that are soft in waves. Although the velvet has an impressive 250,000 Martindale wear resistance, it not only looks but feels plush to the touch. This effect has been achieved thanks to the Italian Airo®24 technology, invented to soften the fabric and improve its properties. The velvet has been treated with a special machine from the Italian company Biancalani.

AIRO®24 technology

The velvet was treated with a finishing machine for continuous and open tacking of fabrics from Biancalani, which provides excellent drape and stable dimensions. During the Airo®24 treatment, the fabric was exposed to hot, dry air. The webs were beaten against each other inside the dryer, resulting in an increase in the velvet’s malleability, matting, softness and volume, while the directionality of the pile disappeared, which is particularly important for upholstery fabrics.
